The Australian Women's Register

This series contains papers associated with the opening of the Chase-N.B.A. Group office in Melbourne in August 1982. The papers include a copy of the opening speech given by Dame Margaret Guilfoyle, background information for the speech (especially regarding the history of the building – the former Goldsborough Mort Wool Store), the guest list and the letter of invitation to Dame Margaret. The series also contains papers relating to the Victorian Liberal Party and a manila folder of correspondence, agendas and reports related to the Victorian State Opera Board. All of the papers are contained in a yellow Unifile document wallet which has the misleading label “Recoupment Tax Legislation – National Speakers Notes”. The papers are dated from August to October 1982.
