- Aboriginal Child Welfare Worker
Christine King worked in community welfare in Darwin before becoming involved with Karu, Darwin's newly-developed Aboriginal child care agency. She held the position of Coordinator of Karu for a time, and was a member of the Secretariat of National Aboriginal and Islander Child Care (SNAICC) Executive.
