Summary

Shirley Berg is best known for her leadership of Public School Parents' organisations. However, she was a member of the Australian Democrats and was their candidate in the New South Wales Legislative Assembly, for Fuller, in 1978.

Details

Shirley Berg was president of the Federation of Parent and Citizens Associations in the 1980's and had previously been President of the Federation of School Community Organisations. She has been a tireless campaigner for public schools over several decades.
