Summary

A member of the Liberal Party of Australia, Bernice Pfitzner filled a casual vacancy in the Legislative Council of the Parliament of South Australia in 1990. An emigrant from Singapore and a medical practitioner by profession she was the second person of Chinese descent to be elected to the South Australian parliament. She was defeated at the 1997 election.
