A member of the Liberal Party of Australia, Michelle Lensink was appointed to the Legislative Council of South Australia on 26 June 2003 to replace Diana Laidlaw on her retirement from the South Australian Parliament. She was re-elected in 2006. She holds the position of Shadow Minister for Consumer Affairs.
