Summary

Initially a member of the No Self-Government Party, Carmel Maher was elected to the Legislative Assembly of the Australian Capital Territory in 1989. She resigned from that party on 3 December 1989 and joined the Independents Group on 4 December 1989. She remained a Member of the House of Assembly until 1991.
