A member of the Liberal Party, Louise Littlewood was declared elected to fill the casual vacancy in the Legislative Assembly for the Australian Capital Territory in February 1997 after the resignation of Mr Tony De Domenico. She represented the electorate of Brindabella. She was defeated by 45 votes in the 1998 election.
