A member of the National Party of Australia, Bridget McKenzie was elected to the Parliament of Australia as a Senator for Victoria at the federal election, which was held on 21 August 2010. She takes her seat in the Senate on 1 July 2010. She previously stood as a candidate for the seat of McMillan in the House of Representatives at the 2004 federal election.
