Summary

Carol Godfrey was nominated for the ABC Rural Woman of the Year Award in 1995, for the Western Queensland district. She runs a merino sheep property with her husband, Lindsay, at Tinnenburra, near Cunnamulla, in Queensland. Living in an area where water levels fluctuate widely and need to be carefully managed, she has a keenly developed environmental consciousness and has been active in local committees that manage water and the land. She has served on both the Warrego Water Users Association and Tinnenburra Landcare Group.
