Summary

Patricia Lamoreaux was nominated for the 1997 A.B.C. Rural Woman of the Year Award, for the Kimberley/Northwest district of Western Australia.

Patricia is well skilled in horticultural techniques, having developed and run her own banana and paw paw plantation in the northwest, until storms cut the farm's yields. She worked very hard in the community as well. She joined her local volunteer ambulance service, St John Ambulanceand was involved in the publicity, fund raising, training of new officers, and generally helping raise St John's profile in the region.
