Details
At the time of her campaign, Ida Carter was the Matron of the Trentham Nursing Home, and had been a resident of Willoughby for 16 years. She was the President of the Willoughby Ratepayers & Property Owners’ Association and the Vice President of the Nursing Homes Association of NSW.
She was married and the mother of two children.
She professed a lifelong interest in government and was concerned about the high cost of land and rates, the quagmire of town planning, excessive road toll, pollution, education and crime.
