Cole, Jennifer
- Occupation Farmer
Summary
When Jennifer Cole won the regional nomination for New South Wales Rural Woman of the year in 1997, she was working for the Warkworth Pastoral Company at Singleton, in New South Wales. As well as owning a Simmental Cow Stud and commercial herd, the Warkworth Company did all the land rehabilitation for the Warkworth Mining Company.
Jennifer organised the day to day running of the company and was deputy manager. She was not, however, a desk jockey. During the hay making season, she drove the truck, collected the hay and changed the irrigation lines; on top of the usual mustering, drenching, vaccinating and weighing duties that came with running a cattle property.
