Sheila Donaldson was a 1995 nominee for the A.B.C. Australian Rural Woman of the Year Awards. She was nominated for the New South Wales, New England North West district.
She has an active interest in environmental and water management issues, having served on the Namoi Catchment Management Authority committee and contributed submissions to the Australian Government’s report Reimbursing the future: an evaluation of motivational, voluntary, price-based, property-right, and regulatory incentives for the conservation of biodiversity.
She lives on a property near Gunnedah, New South Wales, called Karinya.
