Summary

Rosetta Flynn was the sister of John Flynn Australian Inland Mission fame. She was one of a group of women in Melbourne who supported John Flynn’s initiatives to provide missionary services to Australians in remote regions. They formed the Mailbag League which sent letters and packages of books and other items to people living in isolated locations, and which also supported the publication of The Outback Battler a magazine designed especially for people living in remote communities.

She also helped to raise funds to support her brother’s first trip into the Northern Territory, to conduct a survey on the needs of women and children in remote regions.
