Summary
Robyn Francis was nominated for the 1995 A.B.C. Rural Woman of the Year Award, for the North Coast district of New South Wales. She is one of permaculture’s leading pioneers and educators. She has had a diverse career as a designer, consultant, educator, facilitator, presenter, and innovator, especially of permaculture systems. Her operations have been based in Northern NSW since 1989 and for the past 15 years on her property, Djanbung Gardens Permaculture Education Centre, located in Nimbin.
Robyn was founding director Permaculture International Ltd (PIL) in 1987, Permaculture Education 1989, designer and creator of Djanbung Gardens permaculture living Learn-scape. She is a principal tutor at Permaculture College Australia.
