Summary
Beverley Giegerl is a long serving local Councillor who ran for election to parliament only once: as an Independent in the 1988 elections to the New South Wales Legislative Assembly for Georges River. She has better luck in 1991 when she was elected to the Hurstville City Council. She has been re-elected several times and will serve on the council until 2007.
Details
Beverley Giegerl was elected Vice President of the Metropolitan Public Libraries Association of NSW in 2000, and President in 2003. She was Chair of the LGSA Standing Committee for Community Services and Planning and the LGSA Library and Information Services Reference Group.
