Summary
Jodi McKay stood as the candidate for the Australian Labor Party in the seat of Newcastle in the Legislative Assembly at the New South Wales state election, which was held on 24 March 2007 and was successful. She held a number of ministerial portfolios from 2007-2011, but was defeated at the 2011 election when the Labor Government was defeated as well. She returned to parliament in 2015 as the Member for Strathfield.
