Details
Carolyn O’Callaghan lived in Homebush when she ran for the seat of Bathurst in 1995. Her policy, as she explained it, was to prevent overcrowding in Australia, and she deplored immigrants who could not speak English and who were taking places in the education system that could otherwise be utilised by Australians. One of her leaflets expressed the belief that public health would be improved if immigration stopped.
