Includes correspondence and writings of Jean Galbraith such as stories, verse and magazine articles, many concerning nature and its preservation; drafts of “A gardener’s year” and miscellaneous diaries, notebooks and exercise books, some describing the plants and birds of the Tyers area. Also pressed dried local and European flowers. Also a notebook, 1906-1912, which containing lists of flowers and garden plans and which includes a handwritten transcript (by “A.R.B.”, dated 1933), of the Diary of a voyage to Australia from England by Walter Briggs, Ship Peru, September 1st 1852 – January 7th, 1853 (shelved at MS BOX 3473/1).
