Robyn Tredwell was born in Murwillumbah, New South Wales in 1950. In 1995, she won the ABC Australian Rural Woman of the Year award. She went on to become Director of the Institute of Ecotechnics and Project Director of Birdwood Downs station. She died in 2012.
